A Bay Area Matchup
The Bay area has been selected to host the Super Bowl, perhaps one of the most-watched and beloved of all sporting events in the U.S. Along with being held in Santa Clara, California, at the modern Levi’s Stadium, Super Bowl 50 also promises to be a big one thanks to this milestone year. A week of events lead up to the big day on February 7, 2016, including the NFL Experience and the set-up of the Super Bowl City fan village, which will have activities, food, and drink.
While we’re still a few weeks out from game day, most of us are already trying to figure out everything from who will be playing at Levi’s Stadium that day, to how the halftime performance will go.
Here are four predictions for Super Bowl 50:
- The Patriots May Return to the Game
The New England Patriots, whether you love them or hate them, have a chance to advance to the Super Bowl again this year, which would make it their ninth time appearing in the big game during their franchise history. Between 2001 and 2005 the Patriots were only the second team in all of NFL history to win three super bowls in four years. They won against the Seattle Seahawks in last year’s Super Bowl, but their last appearance before that was Super Bowl XLVI, where the New York Giants defeated them.
